Retraction Policy

The UCP Journal of Business Perspectives is committed to maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and transparency of the scholarly record. Published articles may be corrected, retracted, or marked with an expression of concern when serious issues are identified after publication.

  • A correction may be issued when an article contains minor errors that do not affect the overall findings, conclusions, or academic value of the work. The correction notice will clearly state the nature of the error and will be linked to the original article.
  • A retraction may be issued when the reliability or ethical validity of an article is seriously compromised. Grounds for retraction may include plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, duplicate publication, major errors in analysis or interpretation, unethical research practices, copyright violation, undisclosed conflicts of interest, manipulated peer review, or any other form of academic misconduct.

Before retracting an article, the Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the editorial board, will review the concern and provide the author(s) an opportunity to respond. Where necessary, the journal may seek advice from reviewers, subject experts, or the author’s institution.

If retraction is required, a retraction notice will be published and linked to the original article. The notice will clearly mention the article title, author(s), publication details, DOI, and reason for retraction. The original article will remain available online to preserve the scholarly record but will be clearly marked as “Retracted.” In case of serious plagiarism or misconduct discovered after publication may be reported according to Higher Education Commission (HEC) policy.

An expression of concern may be published when serious concerns are under investigation but a final decision has not yet been made. Article removal will only be considered in exceptional cases, such as legal issues, copyright infringement, privacy violations, or content that may cause serious harm.
