Reviewer Guidelines

A Peer Review provides a basis for the editors' decision to either accept or reject a manuscript and guidelines for the authors to improve their manuscript. Reviewers are, therefore, requested to provide in-depth, critical and detailed feedback.

The following may serve as basic guidelines for reviewers to provide an effective review.

  1. To acquaint themselves with the author’s submission guidelines. Click Here for the Author's Guideline
  2. To go through the Peer-Review Rubric before reading the manuscript to understand the material parameters of the review.
  3. To flag the problematic areas within the manuscript such as language, structure, arguments, relevance, references etc.
  4. To provide comments within the manuscript, clearly specifying the observations and suggestions for improvements. Please ensure that the comments within the manuscript appear anonymous.
  5. To ensure that the Peer-Review Rubric is duly filled and signed.
  6. Within the comments section of the Peer-Review Rubric, provide comments indicating:
    • The manuscript's strengths and weaknesses
    • Reasons for accepting or rejecting the manuscript, whatever the case.
    • In case of acceptance subject to major or minor changes, the changes that the author should incorporate.
