Aim & Scope

The University of Central Punjab Journal of Law and Legal Education (UCP-JLLE) is a bi-annual, peer-reviewed publication of the Faculty of Law, University of Central Punjab (UCP).

The Journal aims to foster scholarly dialogue on the development, interpretation, and application of law in Pakistan and beyond. It welcomes contributions on public law, private law, and transnational legal issues, particularly in the areas of:

  • Constitutional and administrative law
  • Human rights and social justice
  • Criminal law and justice
  • Corporate and commercial law
  • Environmental and climate law
  • Intellectual property and technology law
  • International law, including international humanitarian and human rights law
  • Comparative legal systems and law reform in developing jurisdictions

In addition to doctrinal and comparative legal scholarship, the Journal provides a dedicated platform for research on legal education. It invites papers addressing:

  • Law and Legal Education for Sustainable Societies
  • Technology & Innovations in legal pedagogy
  • Law clinics and community legal services
  • Assessment and professional training of law students
  • Ethics and professional responsibility in legal education and practice

Through this twofold focus, UCP-JLLE seeks to advance both the substantive study of law and the pedagogical methods through which legal understanding and practice are cultivated. Its editorial and advisory boards include distinguished jurists, academics, and practitioners from Pakistan and across the world.
