Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The UCP Journal of Science and Technology (UCP-JST) is entertaining articles on all topics pertaining to various disciplines for publication. Our goal is to provide authentic research conducted nationally and internationally to our readers based on verified results, analysis and discussion, critical reviews, and case reports according to the philosophical, social, and ethical aspects.

 

Submission should include the following sections

Title page information

Title: The title of the article, which should be precise and descriptive, must appear on the first page of the text.

Author’s name and affiliation

Below the title, the names of the authors and e-mail addresses, the department and institution where the work was done, and the affiliation of each author with their respective institution should be mentioned.

Corresponding author

Mention the corresponding author who handled the paper at all stages of refereeing, publication, and post-publication. Contact details (e-mail address, telephone, and fax number) should be mentioned.

Abstract

The length of the abstract should be not more than 200 words for the review and original research article and less than 100 words for the Case reports. The abstract for a research article should have four paragraphs titled Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. The problem being studied, the methodology used, the key findings and interpretations of the findings should be concisely described in

graphical abstract.

Keywords

Provide 3-5 keywords just after the abstract. Use British spelling and avoid using general and plural terms.

Abbreviations

Include a footnote on the first page of the article that defines any abbreviations that aren't common in the field. The footnote and the first mention of such abbreviations in the abstract must include definitions. Make sure all of the abbreviations are used consistently.

Main text

The main body text should be divided into sections with distinct headings. Background, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusions are the standard divisions, but feel free to use whatever headings and subheadings best describe the review article. The text should have 12 font sizes of Times New Roman with 1.5 line spacing.

Tables and Figures

Tables

Tables should contain a thoroughly explanatory caption and should be submitted in Microsoft word table format. The placement of the table should be appropriate in the submitted manuscript. The table number will be followed by a title like Table 1. It must be considered that the rows and columns can be distinguishable with borders. All the data in the table should also be separately provided in an Excel spreadsheet.

Figures

Figures should be of high quality; otherwise, it will lead to manuscript rejection. All the figures must be numbered like in Figure 1, followed by an explanatory caption. The placement of the figure should be appropriate and must be provided separately if present in parts in the manuscript. TIFF or EPS format is preferable for line art images, having 900-1200 dpi (resolution).

All the illustrations can be acceptable in different formats. Figures and images are acceptable in PNG format, structures of molecules in CDX (ChemDraw), diagrams in EPS (preferable), and PDF format, while single-page illustrations can be in PowerPoint or Microsoft Word format.

Acknowledgments

All individuals identified as an author must state how they contributed to the work's conception, execution, analysis, or reporting if they made a significant contributions. Anyone who made a significant intellectual contribution to the study or helped with the creation or revision of the paper must also be acknowledged.

Funding

Please provide a list of each author's funding sources and grant numbers. Many funders require this information as part of the proposal. Please include this information in the manuscript as well because you will be requested to enter it during submission.

References

The references list has to be in APA style, which means the last name of the author and year of publication will appear in the text in brackets (Adam, 2021), and complete references will appear at the end of the paper.
